The rosters for the 2026 Major League Baseball All-Star Game have been unveiled, showcasing a collection of the sport’s brightest stars set to descend upon Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The selections highlight individual achievements, team dominance, and the emergence of new talent, offering a snapshot of the current landscape of professional baseball.

Dodgers, Phillies, and Braves Lead the Pack

The Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, and Atlanta Braves each boast five All-Stars, underscoring their consistent performance this season. For the Dodgers, this marks the seventh consecutive year with at least five representatives, a streak that ties them with the 1942-49 Cardinals for the third-longest in MLB history. Their contingent includes Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Andy Pages, Shohei Ohtani, and pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto. This selection also means the Dodgers will have four position players starting the game for the third time in franchise history, a feat previously achieved in 1980 and 1974.

The host Phillies will be well-represented with five All-Stars: starting outfielder Brandon Marsh, Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, Jhoan Duran, and Cristopher Sánchez. This is the eighth time the Phillies have had at least five All-Stars and the second time in three years, following their franchise-record eight selections in 2024. Marsh becomes the first Phillies outfielder to start the Midsummer Classic since 2009.

The Braves’ five All-Stars include starters Ozzie Albies and Drake Baldwin, alongside Matt Olson, Chris Sale, and Raisel Iglesias. This marks the 18th time the Braves have achieved at least five All-Stars and the first time since their franchise-record eight in 2023.

Emerging Stars and Historic Streaks

Junior Caminero, at 23 years and eight days old, is poised to become one of the youngest players to compete in the Home Run Derby and will also start at third base for the American League. This marks his second consecutive All-Star start at third base at a young age, placing him among an elite group of players like Al Kaline and Ken Griffey Jr. who achieved multiple All-Star starts at that age or younger.

Mike Trout continues to add to his legendary career, earning his 11th fan-elected selection. This ties him with George Brett, Tony Gwynn, Reggie Jackson, and Mike Piazza for the eighth-most fan votes since 1970. It will be Trout’s seventh All-Star start, extending his Angels franchise record, and his 12th season on the All-Star roster, also a franchise best.

Juan Soto makes his fourth All-Star appearance with a new team, the New York Mets, after previously being selected as a representative for the Nationals, Padres, and Yankees. He is the youngest player to achieve All-Star status with four different franchises, a feat that previously had no player accomplish before turning 31. Soto will be the first Mets outfielder to start the All-Star Game since Carlos Beltrán in 2007.

Paul Skenes earns his third All-Star nod in just his third MLB season, joining an exclusive club of players like Yu Darvish and Ichiro Suzuki who have been selected in each of their first three seasons.

Pitchers in the Spotlight

While the starting pitchers will be announced closer to the game, the possibility of a host pitcher starting is generating buzz. Seven pitchers have started the All-Star Game in their home ballpark during the expansion era, including Clayton Kershaw and Max Scherzer. Cristopher Sánchez of the Phillies could join this esteemed list.

For the American League, Cam Schlittler could potentially start for the Yankees. If he does, at 25 years and 159 days, he would be the second-youngest Yankees pitcher to start an All-Star Game, behind only Lefty Gomez in 1933. The Yankees hold the record for the most All-Star Game starts by pitchers from a single team with 20.

Rookie Talent on Display

The 2026 rosters also feature four rookies: Kevin McGonigle, Sal Stewart, Travis Bazzana, and Parker Messick. The Cleveland Guardians are one of only five teams to have multiple rookie All-Stars in a season, joining notable groups from the 2014 Yankees and 2008 Cubs.
